‘Staff Room’ to Launch at Urdd Eisteddfod Ynys Môn

6/05/2026

A brand-new space will be launched at this year’s Urdd Eisteddfod in Ynys Môn, offering a dedicated ‘haven’ for school staff from across Wales to relax, network and take a break from the busyness of the competitive week.

The ‘Ystafell Athrawon’ (Staff Room) has been established by CYDAG, National Music Service Wales, and e-sgol, with support from Urdd Gobaith Cymru and the Welsh Government. The pavilion will provide a welcoming environment where teachers and education staff can come together to enjoy refreshments, charge devices, receive support and information, and gain inspiration during the Eisteddfod.

In addition, a variety of organisations that support teachers will be present on different days throughout the week. These include Adnodd, Medr, Dysgu, Neurodiversity Wales, and Educators Wales, ensuring that a wide range of expertise and support is available to school staff.

Visitors will be able to make use of an Information Wall, learning sessions, and opportunities to share good practice, along with much more—making the Ystafell Athrawon a hub for professional support and educational inspiration during the festival.
