Cerdd NPT MusicToday’s the day that our manager, Wayne Pedrick, and our finance officer, Linda Pedrick, retire after many years of hard work and dedication to the pupils of Neath Port Talbot.![]()

Starting as a brass peripatetic teacher in 1998, Wayne progressed to being Head of Brass at West Glamorgan Music Service. During this time, Wayne formed the Cwmtawe Youth Band, giving the pupils of the Swansea Valley a chance to come together to play and socialise. The band had many successes, finishing 2nd at the British Youth Championships. Wayne was also one of the driving forces behind the WGMS county band.![]()

After the split of WGMS in 2016, Wayne formed Cerdd NPT Music to provide music lessons to the schools of Neath Port Talbot. Under his leadership, Cerdd NPT Music has become one of Wales’ leading music services, providing music tuition to over 5,000 children a week.![]()

Luckily for us, Wayne will return in September to teach in a few schools, as well as conduct our Training Band. Wayne will also conduct the 6 Counties Brass Band in their February course and concert.![]()

Linda’s work over the years, both at WGMS and at Cerdd NPT Music, has kept the whole system running like clockwork, keeping our staff in check and making sure our paperwork was up to date (sorry Linda). Linda has kept the service financially safe for many years. ![]()

We’re going to miss you both, and coming into the office in September and you not being here will be strange. We’ll make sure that what you’ve built goes from strength to strength.![]()
